The US Open’s signature food event, called “Flavors of the Open” will return with a jaw-dropping lineup of celebrity chefs on August 22. The culinary event will feature tons of fan-favorite culinary icons, including Pat LaFrieda, Alex Guarnaschelli, Josh Capon, Masaharu Morimoto, Kwame Onwuachi, Ed Brown, Simon Kim and David Burke. Irresistible dishes from some of the world’s most sought-after restaurants will be available at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Restaurateur Simon Kim of COTE Korean Steakhouse will make his US Open debut with his latest concept, COQODAQ. Fans will be able to enjoy signature dishes such as The Golden Nugget, an iconic chicken nugget and caviar pairing. Each chef will interact with the crowd while preparing signature dishes from their on-site US Open restaurants. Beverages from US Open sponsors such as Grey Goose (grab the signature US Open Honey Deuce!), DOBEL Tequila, Aperol and Lavazza Coffee will also be available.
A few of our favorite stops include Fare by Alex Guarnaschelli, where the chef will be serving up delicious Mediterranean dishes, and ACES, where Michelin-starred chef Ed Brown, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto and James Beard Award-winning chef Kwame Onwauchi will be crafting unmatched seafood.
While enjoying the live music and food, keep an eye out for players such as Dominic Thiem, Juan Martín del Potro, Gabriela Sabatini, Bianca Andreescu, Chris Eubanks and Bethanie Mattek-Sands. Tickets cost $175, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the USTA Foundation, and are available here.
