The legendary sandwich shop, All'Antico Vinaio, AKA the go-to spot for every girl named Lexi and Dani who studied abroad in Florence, is coming to the streets of New York City.
Since 1991, the Mazzanti family has been passionately running the three Florence locations of All’antico Vinaio. The shop has been drawing crowds of both Italians and tourists alike due to the exceptional ingredients and freshly baked Tuscan schiacciata bread.
Considered one of the best street food experiences in the world and “home of the world’s best sandwiches”, All'Antico Vinaio welcomes you to experience those very same ingredients and freshly baked bread at the first American outpost.
The world-renowned eatery is back in New York City with a permanent home at 729 8th Avenue (46 Street), in addition to their original locations in Florence, Rome, and Milano.
The New York location is a partnership between brand owner Tommy Mazzanti, Tanya Bastianich Manuali, and Joe Bastianich.
The menu includes sandwiches using delicious Italian meats, creamy cheeses, and mouth-watering spreads. Vegetarian options are available too.
Menu highlights include the La Favolosa with Sbriciolona, Pecorino Cream, Artichoke Cream, and Spicy Eggplant, the La Schiacciata Del Boss with Proscuitto Toscano, Pecorino Toscano, and Truffle Cream, and the La Broadway with Pistachio Cream, Stracciatella, Dried Tomato, Spicy Zucchini, and Arugula.
The 1500 square foot space has standing room for about a dozen people and is currently open Wednesday - Sunday 12 pm - 7 pm.
As of November 22, the venue will be open seven days a week with a wine and beer license pending.
The lines are expected to be ridiculously long, but it’s totally worth it for the sandwich that was heard around the world.
Plus, everybody on Instagram will think you’re being whisked away to a private villa in Florence with your new hot boyfriend.
