With 2020 throwing curveball after curveball, many have been forced to adapt and cultivate new ways to work in light of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. These days, for musical artists, working in quarantine looks like creating music independently, writing and finding innovative ways to remain creative from the comfort of your home. For rising alternative artist KNDRGRTN, taking on a music video series from home might have seemed difficult at first, but that’s not the case at all since he decided to turn the project into an animated series.
With the freedom and flexibility of utilizing animation for his project, KNDRGRTN is currently working on part two of his animated music video series for his recently released EP, “Sleeping With My Clothes On.” Just last month in May the artist released the first animated music video for his single “One Tree Stands” off the EP.
“I think you can really push the boundaries with animation,” he says. “You can achieve concepts of your imagination.”
Following in the footsteps of some of rock’s greatest bands, like The White Stripes and Gorillaz, KNDRGRTN joins an elite group of artists to transform music into animation. With a few more animated music videos in the works, KNDRGRTN looks forward to releasing the next installments of the project.
