Nestled on the corner of Madison Avenue and 62nd Street, the new Assouline boutique is just as eye-catching as the brand’s books. The boutique houses Assouline’s full range of luxury books, from special editions and handcrafted Ultimate volumes to the beloved Travel Series and other diverse collections.
An awning in Assouline red, the brand’s signature Pantone shade, welcomes passersby. Upon entering, multiple bookshelves and large tables showcase a curation of Assouline’s books and library objects. The brand’s rich heritage is on full display, and guests are encouraged to explore while relaxing in beautiful upholstered chairs surrounded by rich wood accents and soft lighting, perfect for finding their new favorite book.
The cherry on top? The boutique’s small cafe, a first among the brand’s U.S. offerings. The adorable four-seat bar offers a sweet all-day selection of pastries, fresh juices and a full coffee menu. The offerings are adapted from the expertly crafted cocktails at Swans Bar at maison Assouline in London, which are inspired by the elusive locations showcased in Assouline’s iconic Travel Series.
