Babba C. Rivera is one busy woman. The entrepreneur and mainstay on the New York scene shows no signs of slowing down as she gears up for another season of passion projects and ventures.
Rivera is the founder of bybabba, an award-winning New York based brand marketing agency servicing clients like YSL and Google among others in the fashion and tech industry. Previously, Rivera launched Uber in Sweden, worked as head of partnerships for Uber in New York City and was the director of brand marketing at Away, the direct-to-consumer luggage company. In addition to being known for her entrepreneurial skills, Rivera has reached it-girl status when it comes to all things lifestyle, fashion and beauty, making her rising an influencer with a continually climbing following.
To say that Rivera is a busy woman is an understatement. This year alone, Rivera and her team launched a podcast, made their first direct investment, launched a pop-up in the heart of NYC and launched HER 2.0, a tiered membership model of the existing female global professional network, HER.
The podcast, "Out of Office with ___", features notable guests with inspiring and unconventional career journeys each episode. The podcast, hosted by Jennifer Paccione Angulo, who oversees the Creative Division at bybabba aims to continue to inspire the next wave of mindful leaders through their network of talent and have already released episodes with poet Aija Mayrock and beauty writer, Mi-Ann Chan.
Rivera has also taken her first steps into an investor role with her recent investment in Chillhouse, a destination in modern self-care founded by Cyndi Ramirez. While Rivera has spent a majority of her career investing her time and effort into mentoring others in her field, she's more than thrilled to be able to now invest financially and who better to kick of this journey with than Cyndi, a long-time friend, colleague and fellow Latina.
Rivera’s interest in championing fellow Latinas led her to open Latina Bodega, an intentionally curated pop-up offering a holistic view of diversity, encompassing all forms of Latin culture including fashion, art, music and food at Showfields in the heart of New York City.
Lastly, this September, Rivera will be launching HER 2.0, a membership model with the intention of propelling HER, a global professional network whose mission is to bridge the gap between women's personal and professional lives, into the next phase with dedicated resources for consistent programming. The new membership model will include dinners, panels, breakfasts, wellness events and a yearly gala. Whatever will Rivera do next!
