It’s Friday night. Your boyfriend suggests going to an overpriced, overcrowded Italian restaurant AGAIN. How many more times can you talk about the stock market over a plate of spicy rigatoni? Don’t fret, this state-of-the-art handmade pasta class can save you from your misery. Participants will learn how to make fresh noodles, Fettuccine, and Pappardelle, along with mouthwatering Marinara and Creamy Alfredo sauce. Transport yourself to Rome with a plate of carbs, a glass of wine (BYOB encouraged), and awe-inspiring (Ok, it’s Brooklyn, let’s relax) outdoor views.
Stop, drop, and roll your way to sushi heaven with this DIY sushi class. Participants will learn all of the basics needed to pass sushi 101: how to make sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and make a California roll and Salmon roll. Diehard sushi lovers will argue anything with imitation crab isn’t real sushi, but hey, at least it’s easy to make. Would highly recommend NOT trusting us with Uni or any of the hardcore stuff. Jokes aside, this is a great way to learn a new skill and stuff your face with rice and seaweed while doing it.
With previous experience at culinary landmarks, Roberta’s, Speedy Romeo, and Public Display of Affection, Chef Rob knows how to make the perfect pizza pie. Lucky for you, you can now learn how to make melt-in-your-mouth pizza from the connoisseur of all things sauce, dough, and cheese. Students will learn how to master the skills of mixing, kneading, and shaping the dough to create an Insta-worthy masterpiece.
Get a taste of Barcelona’s bustling culture with this expert-led Spanish Tapas class. Guests will learn how to make three classic Tapas: Chorizo in Wine Sauce, Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelette), and Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp). To further enhance this cultural experience, you will also be educated on the background of Tapa culture. You’ll definitely need a Siesta after all this food and (BYOB) wine.
There’s nothing better than laying on your couch in pajamas, watching reruns of Kardashians, and double fisting red wine and cold peanut noodles. But if you don’t want to feel like a complete bum on a Saturday night, you can recreate this experience with a Chinese Takeout cooking class—sweatpants most definitely encouraged. Students will learn to make their favorite cheat-day eats: General Tso's Chicken and Chicken Scallion Dumplings, along with a special Honey Soy Dipping Sauce, and Fortune Cookies for dessert!
Give us Pad Thai or give us death. We know that’s super dramatic, but we are creatives after all. The menu highlights Thai takeout favorites, including Pineapple Chicken Stay Skewers, Nut-free Pad Thai, Colorful Summer Rolls, and Coconut Basmati Rice. And how could we forget about the ever-so-addicting dipping sauce that will take your dishes from great, to excellent? Grab a friend, a bottle of liquor, some chopsticks, and let’s get cooking!
Ramen. Pork Bao Buns. Pickled Vegetables. A triple threat that cannot be messed with. Unless you’re a complete spaz in the kitchen like us. We didn’t burn pasta one time, we swear! Students will learn how to roast chicken, make homemade broth, and a perfectly softboiled egg. They’ll also embark on a Bao Bun journey, navigating the ins and outs of crispy pork and crunchy pickled vegetables.
It’s fiesta time! You’ll probably want to pregame this class with a shot (or more) of 818 tequila. The menu spotlights Mexican classics, including Carne Asada Tacos with Pico de Gallo, Crispy Fish Tacos with Lime Crema Slaw, Elote (Mexican Street Corn), handmade corn tortillas, and the freshest guacamole you will ever taste. Your friends will no longer need an excuse when you invite them over for Taco Tuesday.
This Parisian-inspired class has Blair Waldorf’s name written all over it. Plain, chocolate, and almond croissants? Oui! Oui! Oui! Throughout the course, you will learn how to prepare the dough, master intricate folding techniques, and bake it to perfection. In addition to baking, students will learn the theory behind the famed French pastry. Au Revoir!
