There is no better way to celebrate this transformative era than with 21st-century tastemakers: the people who have shaped our culture’s sense of fashion, and beyond.

Tonight’s gala supports the Met's "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" exhibit, which is just as stunning as the gowns you see on the red carpet.

Bow down! Hollywood's hottest couple shows up to the 2022 Met Gala like fashion royalty. Lady Lively pays homage to New York City with her multi-layered Versace gown, illustrating the statue's transformation from copper to green.

Janelle Monáe

Ms. Monáe understood the assignment. Not only is this bedazzled Ralph Lauren dress breathtaking, but it also represents Janelle herself: the duality between decadence and the working class.

Sarah Jessica Parker

Our girl Carrie Bradshaw is beaming from her couch, with a cosmo in hand of course. SJP returns to the Met Gala steps looking as glamorous as ever. As Camille Kostek best put it, she's looking "sexy in the city!"

Alicia Keys

The 15-time Grammy Award-winner is putting the empire in empire state of mind. It's glitz, it's glamour, it's New York City at its absolute finest. When it comes to this creative visionary, the sky(line) is the limit.

Winnie Harlow

Lori Harvey

Harvey puts a modern twist on the classic Gilded Glamour theme, and it's absolutely stunning. And can we take a moment of silence for the abs?! Definitely the best accessory on the carpet.

Hailey Bieber

It's old Hollywood glam, and we cannot get enough! In this stunning Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown, Hailey is having a girl's night done right. Effortlessly glowing, it's no surprise she was asked about her skincare routine. It's giving "glazed donut."

Ariana Debose

The first Queer African American woman to win an Oscar, Debose is revolutionizing the industry one day at a time. And the only thing shinier than the West Side Story star's trophy is her brilliantly gold gown. Courtesy of Jeremy Scott, Ariana is literally dripping in gilded glamour.

Khloé Kardashian

Tristan Thompson is shaking in his boots. Khloé has come a long way since the Keeping Up premiere in 2007. The definition of sheer opulence, Kween Koko is the contemporary version of gilded glamour.
