The MTV Video Music Awards have a 40-year history of—for better or for worse— attracting head-turning looks. This year, the stars brought the glam and showed up in their very best sparkles and shimmer. Read on for the best dressed at the VMAs.
Also the MC for the ceremony, the host with the most stunned in a number of outfit changes that honored everyone from Simone Biles to Britney Spears. But to kick off the evening, Megan Thee Stallion especially wowed in a voluptuous black gown.
Ahead of channeling her inner rockstar on the VMAs stage, Lisa was regal in a beige hooded gown with a structured bustier. Her ensemble was elevated by Bvlgari High Jewelry
Just days before releasing her second album, Suki Waterhouse hit her first VMAs in an all-black sleek gown with tasteful cutouts and an ultra-feathery cropped jacket.
Fashion references were in abundance at this awards show, but no one could beat Paris in a dripping, sparkling piece by Celia Kritharioti, which appeared to honor her very own iconic 21st birthday chainmail dress.
To accept her award—and third time winning Best Latin at the VMAs—Anitta was alluring in fall’s soon-to-be most popular color. The Brazilian singer donned an embellished burgundy gown with side cutouts, with which she paired drop earrings and mermaid tresses.
Accessorizing her look with a rug by San Francisco’s Claremont Rug Company, Chappell Roan was medieval chic in a Y/Project tulle gown, Jeffrey Campbell shoes and black Falconiere opera gloves.
Before scooping up a Moon Person, Tyla was already a winner for her vibrant look. She paired a daisy-yellow dress with coral kitten heels and a turquoise collar necklace.
Halle Bailey may not have been a performer at the VMAs, but her presence screamed siren song. The multihyphenate star was glamorous in a red gown by Sophie Couture from the Dubai designer’s 2025 resort collection.
Continuing to nod to her forthcoming decades-inspired album, Halsey matched her red locks with a slim-fit, red-and-black cheetah dress specially pulled from the Versace archives. The vintage piece comes from 1996.
Racking up a number of awards alongside collaborator Taylor Swift, Post Malone stepped up his fashion game in pointed chestnut cowboy boots, an embellished blazer and a stylish bolo tie.
