The Met Gala is one of the most prestigious events of the year and is the place to see and be seen.
If Anna Wintour handpicks you to attend, you know you’ve made it.

The Met Gala is literally Fashion Week on steroids.
Scrolling through all of the looks on Instagram can get very overwhelming, so we’ve broken down the most memorable outfits for you.
Below are the most iconic looks from the Met Gala—the ones that really “understood the assignment.”
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, Eilish looks like an absolute princess in this stunning blush gown. We’ve never seen this punk rock chick look so elegant, and we’re honestly here for it. Respect the hustle, Billie.
Ms. Blunt must have only eaten a cube of cheese for the highly-anticipated Met Gala—cue the cheesy Devil Wears Prada reference—because her bod looks unbelievable. We’re beyond obsessed with her statue-of-liberty-esque bedazzled gown and starry headpiece. She’s perfection. That’s all.
Although Megan’s nearly-naked VMA outfit lives rent-free in our heads, her Met Gala gown surpassed all our expectations. If anybody can pull off a red, criss-cross gown with a slit higher than my paycheck, it’s Machine Gun Kelly’s “baby momma.” Real talk, shouldn't Kourtney and Travis also be by her side?
There honestly aren’t enough words in the English dictionary to describe Lil Nas X’s outfits last night. Yup, you heard us correctly, outfits. Plural. This rapper’s magical outfit changes deserve a medal. A gold-plated medal with diamonds and a cape, of course. Mad respect for everything he does.
There were a lot of controversies last night surrounding Iman’s showstopping outfit, but we stan a queen who isn’t afraid to make an entrance. Isn’t that what the Met Gala is all about?! Now she really understood the assignment. We’re obsessed with the gold aura around her head that makes her look like the baddest angel in heaven. You go, girl.
Kendall Jenner could show up to the Met Gala in a brown paper bag, and we would probably still be fangirling over her chicness. Everything about her outfit was absolutely breathtaking. Sorry Iman, but Kenny may be the most angelic person on the red carpet. We literally saw stars. The only thing that would make this outfit better is if Kylie was by her side.
We thought we wouldn’t be that excited to see Gabrielle Union on the red carpet, but boy were we wrong. Ms. Union mastered the soft glam look like a literal champ. The intricacies of her custom-made Van Herpen gown were truly astonishing. We could stare at this look for hours. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
Queen Biles continues to impress in every single thing she does. Her bedazzled dress train was literally longer than her list of gold medals. And that’s pretty hard to beat. We’re huge fans of the starry bodysuit paired under her gown, topped off by an outrageously chic hairstyle. Biles never plays by the rules—no matter the arena.
This stellar outfit didn’t get enough recognition on social last night, so we’re here to change that. We’re absolutely in love with the denim zippered gown—it’s incredibly special, but at the same time approachable. Her fit is something we would actually see ourselves wearing if you know, we were cool enough to go to the Met Gala. There is nothing more American than denim, so kudos Lupita for following the theme in style.
Seeing Pete Davidson in a dress was shocking but in the best way possible. Surprising, yet exhilarating, and opens up a whole new door of possibilities for men’s fashion. We loved the contrast between the dress and the bold combat boots and rockstar black nails. Davidson knows the art of balance.
You literally can never go wrong with Chanel, just ask Anna Wintour who allegedly always (besides this year!) wears the household name to the Met. A two-piece outfit can often be mistaken for Revolve instead of the Met Gala, but Ms. Depp handles it with grace and elegance. The stunning pink color compliments Lily’s golden blonde hair and glowy, porcelain skin. When you look like this model-turned-actress, it’s almost impossible to look bad.
We’re not usually huge fans of red on the red carpet, but Queen Karli Kloss literally left us speechless. Sleeves were the fashion statement of the night, but Kloss took them to the very next level. Our favorite supermodel looked like a real-life flower in bloom. Luminous and enchanting.
Our jaws dropped when we saw Kravitz walk onto the red carpet. We’re literally laughing imagining ourselves in this completely see-through, jewel-encrusted gown. How can she be human?! And not a singular dimple. It’s honestly otherwordly, and probably our favorite look of the night.
