Bumble x HBO Stay Home to the Movies

| August 15, 2018 | Parties

From August 15-16, HBO and Bumble have partnered to give fans a new way to “Stay Home to the Movies” by transforming a landmark Brownstone in NYC into the ultimate stay-at-home movie experience, showcasing HBO’s lineup of the latest box office hits and timeless classics for Bumble users in the New York-area.

Over the last two weeks, Bumble Date and Bumble BFF users in NYC have had the opportunity to swipe right for a chance to attend this exclusive event with either someone they’ve been chatting with or with a friend.

When guests arrive, they are prompted to fill out a quick quiz. Based on their answers, they will receive a bracelet that designates them to a specific movie that’s currently available on HBO. Guests will mingle for the first 90 minutes, have some drinks and a bite to eat, and have the opportunity to explore the historic townhouse. After that, they’ll go to their designated movie floor to enjoy curated, film-specific bites and drinks and to screen their film, which will leave each moviegoer with a unique experience.

“HBO’s ongoing collection of theatrical movies is always worth staying home for, and this summer’s lineup delivers on that promise in unparalleled fashion,“ said Jason Mulderig, vice president, Brand & Product Marketing, HBO. “We’re excited to bring some of our must-see box office hits and fan favorites to Bumble users in this dynamic new setting, and to remind our audiences of the high quality movies they can experience from the comfort of their own homes.”

“Partnering with HBO is both very exciting and very natural for Bumble considering the convening power of film to connect people,” added Andee Olson, Director of Partnerships, Bumble. “We also love any opportunity to create engaging and safe places for our users to connect offline and ‘Stay Home to the Movies’ reinforces that mission in a very unique and fun way.”

For Bumble users who can’t make it to the event, starting this Friday, Aug. 17, through the weekend HBO and Bumble will give users nation-wide the opportunity to win their own ultimate HBO Movie watching package so that they can also have a “Stay Home to the Movies” experience.
