Caileur Founder Mary Ann Taylor's Travel Skin Tips

By Christina Najjar | December 26, 2018 | Style & Beauty

Mary Ann Taylor is an expert in all things travel and skincare. After all, she’s the co-founder of Caileur, an e-commerce marketplace that specializes in travel size hair and skincare products from luxury brands like Oribe, Diptyque, and Marvis. All products are pre-TSA approved so you can jet off without worrying your precious skincare will be confiscated. It’s vacation season, so we asked Mary Ann for her best travel tips to keep you glowing all flight long...

Tip #1

For flights, I typically wear as little makeup as possible (especially during a long flight). The stale air tends to dry out my skin, and lots of pore-inhibiting makeup can make it even drier. Instead, I lather on a face moisturizer like like Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Creme as soon as I sit down and feel an instant dryness relief. Also, the size is perfect because it has enough product to last me my entire trip.

Tip #2

At night, I like to relax and hit the reset button. Blaq Hyaluronic Acid Eye Masks moisturize and really de-puff the skin around my eyes. I use before I go to bed, or I'll put them on after boarding a flight. They are my secret weapon.

Tip #3

I use an electronic toothbrush at home, and I don't like to bring it with me when I travel because it’s expensive to replace if I lose it. Instead, I bring the Traveler Set because it comes with a travel toothbrush and toothpaste. It also comes with my favorite face mist, and I use it to soothe my skin throughout the day.

Tip #4

This Oribe Signature conditioner is a staple— It keeps my hair shiny and smooth. I always bring it with me, because some of the conditioners at hotels can really dry out my hair. The Oribe Signature Conditioner also has an amazing scent, it smells like a trip to the British Virgin Islands.

Tip #5

I don’t get to wash my hair every day when I travel. To keep everything fresh, I spray Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray on my roots and brush it through. The spray absorbs oil, adds body, and gives my hair a fresh scent. It’s small enough to keep in my handbag, I always have one in my carry-on.
