You’ve heard of Little Italy, but what about Little Paris? Located along Centre Street in Nolita between Broome and Grand Streets, this unofficial hub of French food and culture features shops, restaurants, art and more. Coucou, a language and culture center offering in-person French classes, is celebrating Bastille Day in the heart of Little Paris with a block party on Saturday, July 17th, from 3 to 7pm. Stop by to listen to live music, sample French cocktails and sweet treats and witness the unveiling of the new “Little Paris” sign. Coucou’s building was inspired by the famous Paris City Hall, l’Hotel de Ville, and is itself a sight to behold.

Bring the party to Brooklyn and commemorate Bastille Day at Estuary at ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina by feasting on the special menu from Executive Chef Jonathan Rodriguez. The delicious offerings include deviled eggs with cajun spiced mayo and smoked trout roe, steak tartare topped with quail egg and served with Dijon and capers, côte de boeuf in a peppercorn sauce served with fries and salmon sorrel with fingerling potatoes and baby carrots. Alongside the food is your choice of Grain de Sail’s biodynamic red or white wine shipped directly from the vineyards of France to the marina in New York City on their own cargo sailboat, a nod to the traditional way of transporting fine wines by boat.
