The Halloween season is packed with festive fun-baking, face painting, pumpkin patches and scavenger hunts. But one of the real highlights? Seeing how the stars transform for the big night. From Alix Earle to Selena Gomez and more, check out some of this year’s standout celebrity costumes.
For more than twenty years, Heidi Klum has cultivated a steadfast reputation as the Queen of Halloween, and her costume this year more than upheld her legacy. Opting for a full transformation, Klum was out of this world as E.T.
Queen Bey brought a dash of rock ‘n’ roll to Halloween this year. Honoring the Queen of Funk, she dressed as the late singer Betty Davis in a plunging zebra leotard and bold red lip.
More than 40 years later, Steven Spielberg’s beloved alien really still seems to be on everyone’s mind. Janelle Monae also metamorphosed into E.T. for the holiday.
The model-entrepreneur proved a red and green palette isn’t just for Christmastime. In a forest green jumpsuit laced with an ivy boa, Bella Hadid stunned as the DC Comics femme fatale.
In a nod to her love triangle on Scandal, Kerry Washington corralled her former costars Scott Foley and Tony Goldwyn to portray the tennis stars of Challengers, which sees Zendaya’s Tashi Duncan caught between Mike Faist’s Art Donaldson and Josh O’Connor’s Patrick Zweig.
“The original office siren,” Amelia Dioldenberg proclaimed. The Chicken Shop Date host was unrecognizable as Roz from Monster’s Inc.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco brought a quirky, wide-eyed charm to Halloween as the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland herself. Wearing her signature blue dress and headband, Selena brought the magic and mystery of Wonderland to life.
Halloween lets us experiment with fantasy, and Kacey Musgraves went full fairy mode in a sparkling green costume. Complete with pointy ears and a magical glow, she was the essence of enchantment.
Halloween is all about embracing transformations, and Alix Earle nailed it with her Cheshire Cat look. The influencer was unrecognizable under layers of pink and purple body paint, face prosthetics, bright yellow contact and a wild purple wig that is totally Cheshire-approved.
From the land of liberty to the realm of horror, Anne Hathaway channeled “Boo York City” in a blonde wig and spider web glasses. Her statue-inspired look was a chilling nod to Lady Liberty as you’ve never seen her.
Sophie Turner pulled a Matrix-style reality shift this Halloween, embodying the iconic Trinity in a slick, black latex suit, sleek shades and a full-on action-ready belt. Barely recognizable in her bold tribute, she is fully equipped to dodge bullets and crack the code.
Bretman Rock took dynamic duos to new depths for this year's Halloween. With his boyfriend Justice Fester as Mermaid Man, Bretman transformed into a spot-on Barnacle Boy, serving sea-side sass and superhero vibes straight from Bikini Bottom.
Ava Max also found herself in Wonderland this Halloween, transforming into the classic Alice we all know and love. Dolled up in the iconic blue dress with a white apron boldly marked with the character’s name, she took us on a nostalgic journey straight down the rabbit hole.
This Halloween, Ice Spice took her style to another galaxy, channeling the bold energy of The Fifth Element’s Leeloo with a bright orange bob and tactical suspenders. Her interpretation of the sci-fi heroine was a bold nod to nostalgia.
The Chainsmokers took the idea that Halloween lets us be anyone we want to be to heart this year. Alex Pall embraced his inner chef as Linguini from Ratatouille, while Andrew Taggart was the clever rat, Remy, for a playful twist that has us craving a trip to Paris.
