The Fleur Room takes New York City nightlife to brand new heights—literally.
How do you top a storied career that started in the heyday of The Beatrice Inn? If you're nightlife impresario Angelo Bianchi, you create The Fleur Room—Bianchi’s 2019 answer to what NYC nightlife is all about. Nestled on the 35th floor of The Moxy Hotel in the iconic Flower District of Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, The Fleur Room is the city's newest and highest rooftop bar.
One glimpse at the space immediately captures the inspiration drawn from the historic block in which The Fleur Room is situated: floral banquets and playful pops of color throughout bring the surrounding Flower District right into the elegant space.
Open March 7 and starting at 5 p.m. everyday thereafter, The Fleur Room, designed by Rockwell Group in collaboration with Tao Group, offers an elevated food program from Chef Jason Hall, stunning panoramic views of the city, and sophisticated design elements.
The Fleur Room is certainly not your typical NYC bar. So what inspired its elegance? Bianchi says he’s been traveling to Paris a lot, having meals at iconic places like the Ritz and Hôtel Costes. “That was the dream, the inspiration,” he says. “And I think we’ve gotten pretty close in terms of the sophistication and the elegance of what we’re offering, and the level of quality.”
Bianchi says the food is “mind-blowingly good,” and his personal favorites include the black truffle grilled cheese and the “Baseball Steak” au poivre, which can be paired to perfection with The Fleur Room’s signature cocktails.
Asking Bianchi what he’s most excited about people experiencing at The Fleur Room, he says he is thrilled to have people see the views from the venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows. “This is a true wow moment. Even the most jaded New Yorker comes here and their jaw drops.”
Aside from those views, the other pièce de résistance? A massive disco ball that was once housed in the iconic 80s Hollywood nightclub Vertigo. And in the age of the ever-important Instagramable moment, there’s so much to capture at The Fleur Room. The whole space was designed with that in mind—so kick back on the floral sofa with your friends and the expansive downtown views as your backdrop. Doesn’t get any more Instagramable than that! 105 W. 28th St., 212-888-1095, moxy-hotels.marriot.com
