High jewelry brand Mikimoto, the originator of the cultured pearl, opened a new flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue this March. The new spot, located just two storefronts from their previous store, will offer significantly more retail space as well as the addition of VIP rooms to provide a more safe and private experience for clients. The aesthetic of the store will pay homage to the sea and Mikimoto’s signature pearl accents, incorporating glass chandeliers, water glass panels and Nishjin-Ori, beautifully crafted Japanese textiles displayed throughout the walls of the boutique.

The brand will be showcasing high jewelry pieces, including some that have never been seen before in the U.S., on a stunning display wall. The increase in retail space will offer clients opportunities to experience the luxury of Mikimoto in an entirely new light with significantly more pieces and collections on display. On top of the one-of-a-kind pieces, Mikimoto will feature their classic core collections, high-end non-jewelry merchandise including picture frames, pens and scarves, as well as boutique-exclusive pieces like the “Mikimoto Loves NY” collection. A staple in the high jewelry community, this new flagship location will thrust Mikimoto’s fame to new heights, and for good reason. 730 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10019
