Of course, F1 has always been a staple in Europe, and it's popularity continues to grow around the world. High fashion brands are nothing new in the word of luxury racing cars, but this season has brought some seriously cool collabs.
From hoodies and t-shirts to sunglasses and shoes, these designer lines have collaborated with racing's best to create some iconic pieces. Here are five F1 collaborations, you may not have known about.
This first collaboration is a futuristic spin on the face mask. As part of Balenciaga’s Fall 2022 Couture line, the house partnered with the Mercedes-AMG Team to create a black face shield uniquely designed to cover the whole face. Polyurethane anti-fog technology maintains healthy air flow while giving a futuristic look. The shield was most recognizably worn by Kim Kardashian during Paris fashion week 2022. The mask can only be purchased at Balenciaga’s couture store at 10 Avenue George V in Paris, France.
These sunglasses are the perfect blend of sleek and stylish. American Ray-Ban collaborated with Ferrari for a limited edition pair in honor of the Italian Grand Prix's 75th anniversary, producing a sleek pair of sunglasses made from ultra-light carbon fiber. The design is all black with yellow accents on the nose pads, temple tips and elliptical rivets. If you’re looking to snag a pair, these can be found on the Ray-Ban website.
McLaren and APL make running a little more stylish with their HySpeed running trainer. The limited-edition shoe was inspired by the innovative nature of McLaren’s high-performance vehicles. The shoes come in a variety of shades, including black, white and McLaren's signature neon orange. Being that the shoe is McLaren’s step into the world of footwear, the shoe is APL’s highest priced in-line item. The shoe also serves as the introduction of new pod-based midsole technology.
The McLaren collaborations don’t stop there. The racing team also partnered with Castore to launch a new sportswear collection. This limited-edition line includes replica, performance and fan wear, all produced using Castore’s lightweight fabrics and engineering techniques. The McLaren logo can be seen throughout the items. There's even a special line dedicated to Lando Norris!
If you’re still looking for a stylish travel shoe, P448 and Scuderia Alpha Tauri have you covered. The two launched a new travel shoe for the crew, team and drivers, but you gan get your hands on a pair, too. The design features a black leather heel tab with an Italian flag decal. The all-white shoe is held together with gray laces. The ‘John Racer’ is very limited for the public, with only 50 pairs made. If you want a pair, you may have to act fast.
Looking for more cool fashion collabs? Superstar Harry Styles just got his own collection at Gucci. It's called HA HA HA, and it's got all the vibrant and playful flair you've come to know and love from the music man.
