January is all about recommitting to the gym, right? We put the emphasis on our bodies, but what about our faces? They need the gym too. Enter FaceGym, the only gym studio for your face—where trainers perform a range of workouts and employ the latest cutting-edge technology and high-performance skincare products to lift, sculpt, tone and tighten facial muscles. FaceGym was founded by beauty journalist and Financial Times Spa Junkie columnist Inge Theron in response to what she saw as an increase in the availability of invasive procedures with little regulation in place.
Targeting the face’s 40 forgotten muscles, FaceGym’s effective and non-invasive signature technique uses high energy knuckling movements and whipping strokes to stimulate blood circulation, collagen production, and cell renewal. With a menu of workouts available for everyone, and a range of add-on technologies including innovations in lights and lasers, radiofrequency and cryotherapy, FaceGym’s trainers will customize workouts to skin and lifestyle needs.
And now, the brilliant FaceGym has landed in the heart of Noho. It is the first opening of 2019 for FaceGym, following Saks Fifth Avenue New York, Selfridges Trafford, St. Johns Wood and Coal Drops Yard, which all opened in 2018. Notting Hill and Los Angeles will be the next sites for FaceGym this year.
Theron told us, “I have always said I created FaceGym for New York and our 0 Bond studio is exactly what I envisioned for our New York Flagship. Between Bandier and Equinox, with SoulCycle, Rumble, and goop less than five blocks away, we knew we found the perfect location to introduce New York to our new studio concept that features a truly genderless, high-performance sports aesthetic designed in collaboration with Alasdhair Willis. This design also takes our mission to be as sustainable as possible a step further: in addition to our countertops made from recycled yogurt pots, we have created a design-build that utilizes new materials hand selected for their sustainable, recyclable or renewable properties. The NoHo opening also introduces our reimagined Make It Bar, where customers can blend custom Training Serums for use during their workout and at home. We have built a strong New York clientele over the past eight months and are looking forward to better serving our New York FaceGym junkies in 2019 and beyond!”
Visitors to the NoHo studio will have the opportunity to begin their FaceGym journey with blending a custom Training Serum at the Make It Bar featuring natural, vegan, and cold-pressed oils to produce natural skincare based on the premise of it being used in workouts or for bespoke gifting. Not to mention a list of their bestselling facial workouts which cater to their broad customer base, including men and women of all ages. The studio is also a place to discover beauty innovation and newness; alongside FaceGym’s own products, FaceGym retails a variety of niche beauty brands from around the world such as Royal Fern, Pestle and Mortar and Allies of Skin.
