Two Brooklyn favorites, New York Distilling Company and Fan-Fan Doughnuts, have combined forces to create a delicious blueberry martini doughnut in celebration of Dorothy Parker’s 129th birthday on August 22nd. Parker was a renowned Jazz Age poet, writer, critic, satirist, and martini lover, making her the perfect inspiration for the second release of Fan-Fan Doughnut’s boozy doughnut series.
The blueberry martini doughnut is crafted using Dorothy Parker American Gin and Dorothy Parker Rose-Petal Infused Gin, with the core being a berry martini doughnut primarily made of blueberry, with hints of lemon and gin. Dorothy Parker American Gin is a blend of traditional and modern botanicals such as juniper, elderberries, citrus, cinnamon and hibiscus, while Dorothy Parker Rose-Petal Infused Gin boasts a gorgeous pink hue thanks to an infusion of red and pink rose petals and crushed elderberries. The doughnut is then topped with gin-marinated blueberries for beautiful finish (and extra punch of alcohol and flavor!).
The doughnuts are available at Fan-Fan through the end of the month.
