Hotel Barrière Fouquet's New York, Group Barrière’s first stateside hotel, celebrates the addition of new restaurant Fouquet’s this week. The beloved hotel boasts design from world-renowned Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, which drew inspiration from the French Art Deco movement, resulting in a flawless marriage of Parisian classicism with the modern industrialism of NYC.
Located in Tribeca, Fouquet’s mirrors the hotel’s upscale blend of Parisian luxury and New York charm in both design and culinary and beverage offerings. The famed Pierre Gagnaire, the chef of six Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, designed Fouquet’s menu. Fouquet’s New York is the 11th Fouquet’s brasserie worldwide, representing a fresh take on the iconic Parisian staple for more than 120 years. Just like the Champs-Élysées location, Fouquet’s New York provides a sophisticated evening that celebrates the historic glamor of the classic Parisian brasserie.
Sitting on the hotel’s ground floor, the restaurant features the classic red and black palette of Fouquet's Paris, and high-gloss wood paneling on the walls crafts an upscale atmosphere. Black and white tile, leather chairs, curved banquettes and cut-glass chandeliers give a welcome old-world touch to the space.
The menu features both Fouquet’s signature dishes as well as New York exclusives such as Fouquet’s onion soup with Comté cheese and Maine lobster fricassée with spinach and carrots, rice pilaf and cognac bisque. We also recommend the Grilled Colorado lamb chops with 'Gaufrettes' fries and herbs tabbouleh paired with the Fouquet's millefeuilles for dessert.
Fouquet’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an array of pastries and plates available for morning meals. The Egg Benedict with Parisian ham or smoked salmon is unbeatable, though the delicious Belgian waffles give it a run for its money.
