Downtown Manhattan has always been the scene for fashion’s It-Girls. Natalia Spotts, founder of the viral vintage store Funny Pretty Nice, is certainly one of Instagram’s style sweethearts.
Since the store’s online founding in 2019, the second-hand style haven has become a favorite on New York’s fashion scene.
For the store’s most recent creative move, Funny Pretty Nice teamed up with Kipling to present THE EDIT: a curated collection of classic bags, available in 12 styles.
Kipling’s fun-loving approach to accessories has made the brand a worldwide staple since its 1987 founding in Antwerp, Belgium. The collection also features a bag in a bold print and recycled fabric from Kipling’s artistic collab with Jessica Siskin
This exciting union between Funny Pretty Nice and Kipling is a celebration of women's empowerment and small businesses in honor of Women’s History Month.
This past Thursday, Funny Pretty Nice hosted a VIP preview of THE EDIT. Lovers and friends of the trendy second-hand store came to sip on Spritz and get their Kipling bag customized. Aly Reinert of The Untrend Shop embroidered the bags— making each bag truly one of a kind.
Natalia Spotts, influencer and founder of the shop, explained that: “Kipling has always been a favorite and sentimental brand to me and my customers. I’ve been selling second-hand Kipling bags since Funny Pretty Nice’s retail store made its debut last year. I’m so happy that we now have our own curated selection of bags to support Kipling on its commitment to sustainability and women empowerment. As a vintage, sustainable, and female-owned brand ourselves, we are so proud to support fellow female artists and entrepreneurs. I’ve been wearing each of these bags on rotation and can’t wait for you all to shop the Funny Pretty Nice edit too!”
Available to shop since Saturday, the bag collection is a fitting excuse to head over to Funny Pretty Nice’s fantastic brick-and-mortar store on MacDougal street. While you're there, treat your eyes (and your wallet) to the store's beautifully curated selection of Y2K and 90s styles.
