Gucci Wooster, the experiential retail space the fashion brand opened in Soho in May, gets an exciting new addition in the form of The Gucci Wooster Bookstore.
Designed as a hub for creativity and innovation in the heart of the original arts community of New York City, Gucci Wooster has become a destination for those seeking the creative and innovative spirit of the district. And the latest iteration of this creative hub is the addition of a good old-fashion bookstore.
Featuring a carefully-curated selection of approximately 2,000 titles focusing on avant-garde art, fashion, design, culture, photography, and an eclectic range of niche magazines, The Gucci Wooster Bookstore is a collaboration with legendary Dashwood Books and its founder David Strettell. In addition, the bookstore will also house an array of works by Friends of the House, including Petra Collins, Ari Marcopoulos, Ryan McGinley, and Martin Parr.
Book signings and other cultural events will be hosted in the space, which sits adjacent to the store’s Screening Room, further cementing Gucci Wooster’s presence as a cultural gathering space. Coming up, Gucci jewelry ambassador and English musician Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, will be on-hand for a private reading of her poetry book. 375 West Broadway, Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
