32 E 31st St, Manhattan/Website
The hardest workout in NYC (or maybe anywhere, truthfully!), Tonehouse is an athletic-based workout focusing on HIIT, conditioning, and strength training. As hard as this class is, they create a very "team-like" atmosphere that helps you get through it.

Multiple Locations/Website
Solidcore is all over the nation and is absolutely one of the most challenging workouts, especially on the reformer. It is pilates-inspired but really creates an intense cardio workout as well, with extremely quick transitions and moves.

Located in Williamsburg, Warrior Fitness Bootcamp is likely to leave you breathless for a long time. The class consists of obstacle courses (think: Monkey Bars, Climbing Ropes, and climbing over walls) and will no doubt challenge you mentally and physically.
636 Broadway, Manhattan/Website
Founded by Akin Akman, this studio contains both a spin as well as a bootcamp studio. It offers an athletic coaching experience, where the instructors push you past your limits, on the bike and/or floor.
If you're looking for an intense classic reformer workout, look no further than Forma. While it is referral-only and on the pricier side, if you can get in, this small group pilates class will most definitely whip you into shape
12 E 18th St, Manhattan/Website
You may have heard of this intense cycling studio located in Union Square. Their "Black Label" class is their most intense class and requires an invitation by being a class-goer (although it's stated on the website, that there are no invite guarantees!) This class is designed to mentally and physically push your limits.

Most are familiar with Barry's, even if you're new to the boutique fitness scene. It's a half-floor, half-treadmill workout (or you can choose to do double-floor!) Barry’s is an intensity interval workout with a combination of strength and cardio exercises.
15 W 18th St, Manhattan/Website
Nofar is reformer and cadillac pilates class, but a lot more intense than your average pilates spot. This studio will be sure to leave your muscles shaking for days.
