The cult favorite hair care line IGK, beloved by celebs like Sofia Richie, Zayn, Scott Disick, Anwar Hadid and more, recently opened doors in Soho.
The impeccably designed, 2000-square-foot, 20-chair salon was designed by Andrew Fethes Architects with modern interiors by designer Melissa Cobos.
As IGK co-founder Aaron Grenia told us, “It’s really special for us because we all met working with another product line and salon group (Prive) that had their NYC location directly across the street at the SohoGrand Hotel. I started my New York career across the street! It’s like a full circle life thing. Soho is known across the world as an arts/fashion district so to have this address means a lot to us. It’s a big accomplishment. This will be our first street-level retail salon in NY."
The building’s history makes the opening even more delicious. The building itself was built and designed by real estate company DDG. It used to be a chocolate factory, hence the building's nickname XOCO 325, xoco being Catalan for chocolate.
In other exciting news from the brand, IGK just launched the hyaluronic acid-infused Thirsty Girl Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner this week. Perfect for festival season, this set will keep your locks looking luscious all summer long.
