IVY PARK x Peloton
When it was announced that Ivy Park – the athleisure clothing line created and managed by the beyond-talented Beyoncé – would be collaborating with Adidas in 2019, the hype around the sale was almost astronomical. Celebrities were sent orange boxes by the superstar, and the amount of traction the initial drop got online reportedly crashed the Adidas website and sold out within six minutes. The two parties are some of the most well-known and well-received in the business, and almost anything they release is sure to make noise online.
Now, nearly ten months after the release of the third drop, a new party is coming to play with Ivy Park: Peloton, the popular exercise and media company, known for their stationary bike and at-home classes. It was announced Friday that the three parties would be teaming up for a huge collection drop on November 10, appropriately titled “Peloton Park.”
According to SoleSavy, the collection will reportedly include a range of apparel fit for the Peloton brand – including bike shorts, tights and matching bra – as well as looser fitting shorts and tee-shirts, keeping up with Peloton’s emphasis on fitness for everyone, as well as fitting in with the “leisure” part of “athleisure.” Each item will sell for between $45 and $200.
Other items seen in the promotional video include a sweatshirt, as well as a long raincoat that opens to reveal the shirt and leggings. There’s been no confirmation, however, if these will also remain a part of the collection.
The crown jewel of the collection, however, will be the Ultraboost, an Adidas staple redone for the collection’s release. According to Adidas, the shoe first hit the scene in 2015 as a running shoe, but became just as well known for its streetwear presence. Each model features “boost technology,” giving the wearer a lightweight feel on their arch as well as comfort to take on any task the day may throw at them. The Ultraboost will sell for $200 a pair.
Each item in the collection features a palette stemming from black to a muted green, to just a pure neon olive in the light. Some of the items range from being in perfect olive to all black, with the Adidas staple three stripes appearing on others. All seem to properly represent the three parties – with the chosen neon really popping out in both the home gym and out on the town – and will be sure to be a hot commodity to pick up this holiday season.
