Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez arrived on the Met Gala red carpet wearing an iconic custom Schiaparelli gown adorned with more than 2.5 million hand-sewn beads, designed by renowned American fashion designer Daniel Roseberry. In a nod to the evening’s theme, “Garden of Time” theme, honoring the Met Costume Institute’s exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” the strapless sheath dress features two silver-studded butterfly wings and an ethereal, chapel-length train. The gown, which required more than 800 hours of embroidery to create, is complemented by champagne-colored peep-toe heels.
Lopez paired the gown with a platinum and 18-karat yellow gold bird-shaped statement necklace with more than 75 total carats of diamonds from Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Celéste Collection, along with a matching bracelet and diamond drop earrings. The star wears a Jean Schlumberger ring by Tiffany & Co. in platinum and 18-karat yellow gold with a 4-carat yellow diamond, a 4-carat white diamond and pink sapphires and diamonds. Lopez brings all the glitz and glam with a pop of silver eye shadow and a nude lip.
