Kendrick Lamar’s impressive Super Bowl Halftime show was just the latest in a string of Internet-breaking moments, but it's not just his lyrics and music videos that have fans doing their research.
The “Not Like Us” rapper is setting and cementing fashion trends that move far beyond the world of hip-hop. From his Martine Rose jackets to his Nike Shox, Lamar is influencing the way shoppers seek style, and eBay recently shared some numbers of just how influenced its users have been by his recent looks.

Lamar graced the Super Bowl stage in a custom Martine Rose jacket. The female U.K. designer’s oversize jackets have become a staple of the “Squabble Up” MC’s style, and while fans can’t don the blue and black jacket from the Super Bowl show, eBay shoppers are finding pre-loved Martine Rose originals.
Searches for Martine Rose grew 90 percent month-over-month from August to September of 2024, just as Lamar was announced as the Halftime show headliner.
Likewise, the Royal Nike Shox Lamar was seen wearing on the cover of his latest album GNX have experienced a spike in search volume. When the LP dropped in November, shoppers started looking for the kicks 250 percent more than the previous month.
But it doesn’t even have to be anything specific. Since dropping his smash summer hit “Not Like Us,” eBay shoppers have started looking for “Not Like Us” gear with ever-increasing regularity, growing 250 percent globally from May to July of 2024 as the song continued to dominate airwaves.
In the past year, from December 2023 to December 2024, broad Lamar searches grew wildly. There was a 200 percent increase year-over-year for “Kendrick Lamar t-shirt,” a 170 percent increase for the search “Kendrick Lamar shoes,” 145 percent increase in searches for “Kendrick Lamar hoodie,” and 95 percent increases in searches for “Kendrick Lamar Nikes.”
As the Internet continues to reel from and dissect the meaning in Lamar’s Halftime, no doubt his style choices will continue to influence the fashionable masses.
