Met Gala veteran Kim Kardashian arrived on The Met's 2023 carpet dripping in real pearls thanks to her gown designed by Maison Schiaparelli’s artistic director Daniel Roseberry. “I wanted pearls,” Kardashian said of her gown, explaining her desire to honor Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic Chanel pearls.
“I really didn’t feel the pressure,” Kardashian said of the event, which honors the late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld through its theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” “I just wanted to feel glamorous,” Kardashian revealed. Kardashian completed the look with statement jewelry, a high bun and a white off-the-shoulder coat to beat the New York City chill.
