Gather your fanciest white garb and picnic basket because the world’s largest dinner party is back! Tonight, Le Dîner En Blanc will return to New York City.
While Le Dîner En Blanc originated in France, it exploded onto the global stage after its NYC debut 11 years ago. This year, 4,000 guests are attending in New York with 70,000 people on the waitlist.
Every year, each guest comes dressed to the nines in white. The precise location will not be announced until this evening, but expect the dinner to take place at one of NYC’s most iconic landmarks (previous years have been held at Lincoln Center and Bryant Park, with last year's event taking place at Brookfield Place and Battery Park). Guests meet in groups of 100-300 in designated spots around the city to follow group leaders to the appointed location. Upon arrival, guests will set up their tablescapes and dine while enjoying live music and dancing.
Those wishing to imbibe in Champagne or wine at the event must reserve online through Le Dîner en Blanc’s e-store.
