Literacy Partners Hosts Annual Evening of Readings & Gala Dinner Dance

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, Literacy Partners hosted its annual Evening of Readings & Gala Dinner Dance at Cipriani Wall Street. The publishing world came out in full force for the black-tie event that celebrates reading and supports the unique educational mission of Literacy Partners. The evening included readings from Preet Bharara, Tayari Jones and Andrew H. Tisch, while CBS News 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl was honored with The Lizzie Award, Mike Steib, President & CeO of XO Group Inc., received the Corporate Leadership Award, and Andrea Davis Pinkney was presented with the Champion of Literacy Award. The event raised $1.1 million to further the organization's mission to end illiteracy, one adult at a time.
