Louis Vuitton is pulling out all the stops with the unveiling of its dazzling new storefront. Taking center stage while its Fifth Avenue flagship undergoes extensive renovation, this location holds the title of Louis Vuitton’s biggest U.S. store. Indulge like never before in shopping, art and delicious treats—including a first-ever Louis Vuitton café and an exclusive collection of luxe souvenirs.
Louis Vuitton’s love affair with the Big Apple began in 1898, and its bond has only strengthened. New York showcased the brand’s integration of French craftsmanship with local influences, leaving a special place in Louis Vuitton’s heart. Over the years, Louis Vuitton has embraced New York’s vibrant energy, transforming its retail spaces to mirror classic elegance and innovative designs.
The temporary location on 57th Street, housed in an Art Deco-inspired building, offers a notable soaring atrium filled with free-standing sculptures that echo the grandeur of New York’s skyline. These sculptures, crafted from iconic Louis Vuitton trunks, ascend 16 meters, creating a mesmerizing connection between the brand’s heritage and contemporary sensibilities. Discover an eclectic mix of collectible vintage and contemporary furniture by icons like Carlo Mollino, Charlotte Perriand, Christophe Delcourt and Pierre Augustin Rose, set against striking works from celebrated American and NYC-based artists, including Todd Eberle, Chris Martin and Caio Fonseca.
This five-story building undoubtedly radiates retail excellence, where each floor explores the brand’s narrative. Sweet tooths will have a field day by stepping into the luxe chocolate shop spearheaded by Parisian chef Maxime Frédéric, where you’ll find decadent handmade chocolates as stylish as they are delicious. The fourth floor is home to Café Louis Vuitton, charming guests with floor-to-ceiling books and creative twists on classic dishes with a sprinkle of LV charm. Guests are welcomed into a main area that includes a restaurant, a cozy reading nook, and a bar, with seating for around 70 patrons. Ian Luna, an editor and curator, has carefully selected the library’s collection, focusing on New York artists such as Stephen Sprouse and Jeff Koons, among others. The selection also features modern classics and works by various creators, totaling 600-650 titles. Additionally, guests can enjoy selections from Louis Vuitton Editions, underscoring the brand's ongoing commitment to celebrating and documenting travel, style and its heritage.
Led by French chefs Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frédéric, Louis Vuitton’s new dining spot in New York brings a fresh twist to French cuisine with a local New York vibe. Teaming up with local talents Christophe Bellanca and Mary George, Le Café offers an elevated “luxury snacking” experience. The menu mixes French classics with local flair, featuring dishes like lobster and truffle ravioli, seasonal Damier tartlets, reimagined Croque sandwiches, and a modern spin on the classic burger. It blends global flavors and creative innovation that make this spot truly unique.
This Louis Vuitton venture revealed to be more than just a store—it’s a chic playground where elegance, culture and creativity collide.
