Style & Beauty,
Soho welcomes Louis Vuitton’s "Walk In the Park" Men’s Collection by Virgil Abloh from June 30th-July 9th.
The Men’s temporary residency in SoHo is the latest installation of the Houses’ global series, and the first US location.
With bi-weekly limited edition drops, the space is dedicated to Vuitton’s most iconic sneakers, sunglasses and jewelry designed by Men’s Artistic Director, Virgil Abloh.
The temporary residency has transformed the Prince street location with a bold purple façade that gives way to an immersive interior of neon arches inspired by Paris’ Pont Neuf.
Color-coded references to the rainbow can be found throughout the space, a nod to the set of Abloh’s debut show for Louis Vuitton in Spring-Summer 2019.
Styles exclusive to the temporary residency will be offered alongside a full complement of recently launched sneakers, all attesting to the artistic director’s unique vision. Cuban chain jewelry, Cyclone sunglasses, LV Trainers, and hats are all among the exclusive items sold at the SoHo location.
Starting on July 9th, the pop-up will transform into a pre-launch of the Men’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection, previewing the latest ready-to-wear, accessories, leather goods, and gifting items.
The collection investigates the unconscious biases instilled in our collective psyche by outdated norms of society. Predetermined perceptions imbue our outlooks with socially-constructed ideals connected to the genetics of people, ideas, and art.
Abloh brilliantly employs fashion as a tool to change these preconceptions: keep the codes, but change the values.
During both periods, clients are invited to experience House icons up close and immerse themselves in their creative evolution. The public experiences expand on existing concepts and icons conceived for the House by Abloh.
Rooted in the inclusive values at the heart of his work, the happenings are an expression of the mutual connectivity that exists between the designer and his community.
