Titled "Jadot Loves America," this sunset sail is truly a wine lovers’ dream, as it allows guests to sip on Jadot’s Beaujolais Mâconnais Varietal line while sailing around New York. Each $75 ticket features a five-course wine and light bite pairings menu hosted during a Jadot wine ambassador during the 6:30PM to 8:30PM sunset cruise.

Wine professional Bernard Sun will provide insight into the world of Burgundy wine during the sail around the city. “We’re thrilled that for over a decade Jadot continues to be ranked the #1 French red wine and white wine in the U.S. year after year,” shares Sun, former sommelier at Jean Gorges and James Beard Foundation Award winner for Best Wine Service. “To celebrate our love for both France and America, we thought a cruise around the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor was the perfect way to honor these two countries.”

Sun will speak with authority gained from over twenty years in the wine industry, allowing him to recommend the perfect celebratory wine, table wine and bottles to pair with a variety of cuisines. Sun says, “I’m looking forward to attending the cruise in August where we’ll showcase that ‘the love’ goes both ways for France and America when it comes to Louis Jadot.”

The wine pairings include Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay, which is a clean and vibrant unoaked Chardonnay showing floral, apple and citrus aromas and Chardonnay Bourgogne, which is blended from 100% Chardonnay grapes and shows notes of green apple, pear and crushed stone. Next up is a rosé, which has floral and fruity notes such as fresh red currant and raspberry; and Beaujolais-Villages, an easy-drinking wine that is fruit-forward and carries flavors of strawberries and black cherries with spice notes. Finally, Pinot Noir Bourgogne, which was aged in French oak for 9 months for an exceptionally elegant finish and aromas of plums, raspberries and cherries with notes of earthy florals, mushrooms and minerals, ends the evening.
