This year, it was announced that the Met Gala theme would be, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," which translated into some awe-inspiring evening wear on the red carpet last night. But who wore it best? Here are our favorite celebrity looks that stole the show.

Rihanna shut the red carpet down last night, with one of the evening's best looks. The singer wore a stunning custom Maison Margiela by John Galliano mitre and minidress, which made us wonder why she wasn't already pope.
