McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury sportscars and supercars and now a Hyper-GT, will reveal their stunning next Ultimate Series McLaren Speedtail on October 26 at cars.mclaren.com. Inspired by the McLaren F1, the three-seat Speedtail features a central driving position and two seats on either side and will have the capability to exceed the 243 mph peak speed of the legendary McLaren F1 road car. Just 106 Speedtails are being created, mirroring the number of F1s sold in the 1990s. Each car is priced from £1.75 million.
McLaren Special Operations (MSO) offers clients limitless tailoring opportunities to customize their Speedtail including a range of optional unique finishes for their car's badge. McLaren's famous brand badge, featuring the McLaren 'Speedmark' logo is recreated in handcrafted 18-carat white-gold emblems and carbon-fiber inlays on the front and back of the car. The materials used represent just one of the innovative ways Speedtail is combining art with extreme performance.
As standard, the Speedtail's McLaren badge is made of aluminum with a gloss black inlay. In addition to the solid white-gold badges with TPT carbon inlays, there is also a solid platinum version available-one more element of the bespoking opportunities that MSO is offering clients to ensure that every Speedtail is unique.
“Speedtail is centered around breathtaking beauty, luxury, and craftsmanship,” says Rob Melville. “The gold badges add to a car whose jewel-like qualities already shine out, and confirm Speedtail’s uniqueness as the luxury McLaren without equal.”
