A new speakeasy wine bar has just opened behind a storefront on the Lower East Side. With a focus on Italian wines and Italian-style small plates, One19 Wine Bar + Food is an affordable wine destination committed to exploring lesser-known grapes. Their wine on tap program offers guests a more environmentally friendly way to consume wine by using recyclable, collapsible kegs. Guests can enter the speakeasy by heading through a curtain located in the back of the deli at 119 Essex Street, where they are met with a romantically lit 28-seat bar room.

Every New Yorker’s favorite winter wonderland has reopened for this holiday season, bringing winter cheer to the cocktail lounge located atop the historic Beekman Tower. Ophelia’s annual Snow Globe in the Sky experience sees the lounge transformed into a shimmering winter wonderland dripping with crystal and sparkling snowflakes. The over-the-top decor makes for a glamorous sipping experience complemented by a cocktail menu that takes inspiration from the lounge’s heyday in the 1920s and 30s.

Clean and transparent wine brand Avaline, co-founded by Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power, has released a limited edition pinot noir. The pinot marks their first wine produced in the brand’s birthplace of California and is available exclusively on Avaline’s website. The small-batch pinot noir is a light-bodied wine with notes of roasted strawberries and wild plum, making it the ideal drink to sip on during cozy fall nights.
