Spring is right around the corner, and there's a breath of new life in the city - thanks in large part to recently reinstated indoor dining. There are a lot of new restaurants opening and updatedr menus, which is fantastic news for both local restaurant owners and New Yorkers.
This week marks the start of March, and for some spots on our list, that comes with expanded hours. From new Mexican flavors at Pedrito’s Cocina to new drinks at ROKC, we guarantee you’ll be hyped to try something on this week's Gotham Guide. Bon appetit!

Senza Gluten, the beloved Greenwich Village gluten-free staple, is now officially open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday. With a newly-renovated and heated outdoor space, executive chef and owner Jemiko L. Solo is expanding the bakery’s menu of all-day Italian cuisine. Dishes include wild mushroom ravioli, baked rigatoni and manicotti. Senza Gluten is currently taking reservations by phone at (212) 475-7771.

A new pop-up from the team behind the famed Williamsburg restaurant Barano, Pedrito’s Cocina is now serving seasonal Mexican eats. These dishes, including appetizers like guacamole and elote, tacos, quesadillas, burritos and more, have been created by the Barano cooks and led by Chef Al Di Meglio’s long-time Sous Chef Pedro. Pedrito’s Cocina is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Delivery is also available via Seamless. Takeout is available through Grubhub.

Winona’s is a modern European restaurant-café and wine bar, and it's opening a new indoor space called the Backroom. An old fixture store since 1910, the newly-renovated space offers high ceilings, greenery and a skylight for perfect ambiance. The inaugural menu rotates based on market availability, but some of their staple dishes are lamb meatballs, Xixo’s tortilla espanola and scotch egg. The Backroom at Winona's is open as of March 4, and reservations can be made online.

Shige Kabashima’s ROKC has expanded its hot beverage menu to include signature cocktails, sake and wine. The Japanese cocktail bar and restaurant now offers a matcha cocktail with Japanese Whiskey and honey, a Japanese Hot Toddy with Whiskey and yuzu, and a warm Hakkaisan drink. ROKC doesn’t take reservations, so walk right in.

Another of Shige Kabashima’s Japanese restaurants and bars, NR also updated its hot beverage menu. Here, you can enjoy the Wood cocktail with saketini and Gray Goose, spicy hot chocolate with spicy tequila, and the warm Cahors Malbec drink. Reservations can be made online.

The Cutlets Empire is expanding into Brooklyn, opening its first location in Williamsburg for pickup and delivery. The concept was created by Richard Zaro of Zaro’s Family Bakery, and it is his first solo project. The menu includes signature and custom creations with chicken and eggplant cutlets, herb roasted chicken, bacon, grilled eggplant and cage-free eggs. Orders can be placed in advance online.
