Hortus NYC debuts a new Asian-fusion food and drink menu for spring from newly-appointed Executive Chef Lenny Moon.

Spring is finally here! Warmer weather is taking shape in the five boroughs and more New Yorkers are being vaccinated each day. We’re daring to think brighter days are ahead - especially as more and more restaurants continue to reopen. New menus are popping up everywhere, and there are even some new collaborations in the air.

We’re grateful for all the restaurants that have been able to stay afloat, and we're here to help you celebrate and honor their tenacity with some tasty treats. From pizza to luxury three-course meals, Italian favorites, Asian-fusion and good old rooftop dining, here are the new flavors you have to try in New York City.

Zazzy’s Pizza is finally open with two locations across NYC in Greenwich Village and the Lower East Side. Combining street culture with modern takes on pizza, Zazzy’s aims to be the spot for casual neighborhood gatherings. While they offer traditional slices, Sicilian squares and whole pies, they are also committed to plant-based foods, selling a variety of vegetarian dishes such as meatless meatballs, vegan mozzarella sticks and pepperoncini poppers.

Intersect by Lexus

412 W. 14th St. / Website

Intersect by Lexus will reopen for indoor dining on March 25 -- the first time since March 2020. Restaurant-in-residence The Grey serves a variety of three-course luxury dinners. The restaurant will also open its doors to a newly re-imagined, first floor lounge space offering small plates inspired by international travels and Japanese flavors. Reservations can be made online.

Una Pizza Napoletana x Morgenstern’s Ice Cream Collaboration

Una Pizza Napoletana of New York City and New Jersey has partnered with Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream to create four limited-edition flavors available now. The four flavors can be shipped nationwide as a four-pack or bought as singular pints in Morgenstern’s, Eataly and Una Pizza Napoletana in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.

Cantina Rooftop

605 West 48th St. / Website

Now open in Midtown, Cantina Rooftop is open for drinks and dinner. They're also proud to announce a new brunch menu with mejillones, steamed mussels with chorizo and tres leches French toast, among others. Dinner is served Tuesday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and brunch from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekends.

Sant Ambroeus Gelateria

267 Lafayette St. / Website

Sant Ambroeus, the beloved Italian restaurant chain, is excited to launch a gelateria in SoHo. The new concept features more than 16 flavors of gelato, including sorbetto, as well as hand-made waffle cones, toppings and other staple desserts. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. To-go pints are also available for purchase.

Hortus NYC debuts a spring food and drink menu from newly-appointed Executive Chef Lenny Moon. New Asian-fusion dishes include sea urchin, Kumamoto oysters, dry-aged duck breast and truffle donabe. Pair with spring cocktails including the peach mule and piña. Along with the new dishes, they're also beginning a two-course, prix-fixe menu program for lunch and dinner, available for dine-in, takeout or delivery.

Maman x Caffe Panna Collaboration

154 Court St., Brooklyn / Website

Maman and Caffe Panna team up to create a limited-edition ice cream flavor: Maman's nutty chocolate chip cookie double dough. The new flavor is available for pick-up and delivery at Maman’s Cobble Hill pop-up from March 27 to April 4, and for pick-up at Caffe Panna on April 3. Caffe Panna will also serve a one-day-only Maman Cookie Affogato on April 3.
