Summer is right around the corner and new restaurants are opening each day! Travel quarantine restrictions have been lifted for almost a month, and all adults are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations throughout the state. It finally feels like we're returning to a somewhat normal world.
This week, we have a delicious array of new menus, openings and pop-ups. Between a new pizza shop in Astoria, a new ghost kitchen concept, and a rosé pop-up at BLT Prime New York, this city is certainly offering tons of flavor. Mask up and fill up!

BLT Restaurant Group has partnered with Wölffer Estate Vineyard in the Hamptons to create a Rosé stand pop-up from April 29 to May 27 at BLT Prime New York. New Yorkers can sample and purchase wines, as well as enjoy signature BLT dishes such as tuna tartare and jumbo shrimp cocktail. The first 50 guests on April 30 will receive a complimentary glass of rosé.

Beloved pizza and sandwich shop Krave It is set to open Astoria location on April 27. Known for over-the-top pizza slices and pies, the new neighbors should definitely try the mac-tastic pizza, white truffle chicken pizza and the loaded tater tot pizza. Already had those? Try a slice of the new birria birria birria pizza; a Mexican birria taco pizza with homemade consomme. The new shop will be open every day, and pizzas are available for pick-up and delivery.

Armani/Ristorante recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary as an Italian fine dining destination, and to celebrate, it's welcoming several new dishes to the spring menu. Available for a two- or three-course lunch as well as a four-course dinner option, diners can now enjoy tuna tartare, homemade spinach tagliotini and Milanese-style breaded veal chop. Opening April 27, Brent’s Comfort Kitchen is a new ghost kitchen concept in Midtown East specializing in comfort food and delicatessen classics. The menu offers salads, soups, sandwiches and noshes, including a house-smoked pastrami sandwich, a French dip sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich and potato knishes. BG on Fifth, Bergdorf Goodman’s outdoor café, is open once again. Enjoy a menu full of old classics and new treats, from the fan-favorite Gotham salad to new French-inspired dishes such as the Prince Edward Island mussels. Other highlights include the empress martini, buddha bowl, truffle chicken BLT and afternoon tea specials. Reservations are not available at this time, so just walk in.

In the spirit of New York City's reopening, 10 restaurants are celebrating the iconic bacon, egg and cheese sandwich from April 28 to May 2. Adda Indian Canteen, Ess-A-Bagel, Frenchette Bakery, Hunky Dory, James, Leo, Melba's, Milu, Pies 'n' Thighs and Wildair will serve their best takes on the BEC, such as Milu "DEC" with crispy duck leg and Melba’s BEC with roasted peppers.
