Dôen
L.A.-based Dôen brings its breezy brand to the West Village this season. Making its East Coast debut, Dôen’s new 1,000-square-foot space, designed by Nickey Kehoe, who also designed the brand’s two California stores, will house the label’s eff ortlessly chic apparel, from top-quality knitwear and T-shirts to dreamy dresses and denim, as well as a curated selection of accessories and selects for the home. 384 Bleecker St.
Marimekko’s chic new Soho shop

Another addition to the streets of Soho, Finnish design house Marimekko makes a triumphant return to the city following the closing of its flagship at the end of 2021. “Marimekko’s new store in New York is an ever-evolving concept that has been designed to be rediscovered over and over again,” says Creative Director Rebekka Bay. “Marimekko’s collections and their themes come to life in the space through varying visual experiences.” Inside the store, which is inspired by the brand’s textile printing factory in Helsinki, shoppers will discover a curated selection of design gems from across generations in place of traditional displays, and Marimekko’s chic apparel, bags, accessories and home decor. “Marimekko has always walked its own path in the boundaries between fashion, design, art and architecture,” Bay concludes. “Continuing this tradition, our new store aims to create a dialogue with New York, its inhabitants and creative culture.” 97 Wooster St.

Buzzy Canadian outerwear and sporting goods brand Arc’teryx opened the doors to its 26th U.S. boutique, spanning 6,600 square feet in the center of the Flatiron District. One of the brand’s largest retail stores, it is filled with the high-quality outdoor apparel and gear Arc’teryx is known for. “Our presence in Flatiron aligns with the area’s rich design heritage, creating a space to share design insights and inspiration with a like-minded community,” shares Katie Becker, chief creative officer. “We will use this space to glean insights and hear the needs of the community directly. Cult-favorite brand Hill House Home is settling into its new digs at its recently opened boutique at Rockefeller Center. “Rockefeller is such an iconic space and the heart of New York City,” says founder and CEO Nell Diamond. “The foot traffic in the area provides such an exciting opportunity.” This is only the beginning for the brand, which is set to expand to Nantucket, Palm Beach and London next.
