ANNE BARGE NEW YORK AND FLORA ON MADISON
Inside the Anne Barge/Flora space
Anne Barge New York and Flora on Madison Avenue come together under one roof in a glamorous new joint 1,600-square-foot boutique inside a historic prewar building. Metallic accents and elegant contemporary furnishings, such as a custom centerpiece table in Venetian plaster by artisan Carmen Vergara, play off the space’s soft, neutral color palette. And here, the lighting, carefully selected by Stephanía Vallejo, architectural lighting designer from Tirschwell & Co., is key. “We are using a studied combination of diffuse and focal accent lights, in tandem with precision microlights, to produce a beautifully balanced and subtle glow on both the customers and the dresses,” she says. Plus, Anne Barge New York/Flora on Madison worked with Diptyque to establish the Eau Rose fragrance as the store’s signature scent. 766 Madison Ave., 2nd Floor
SEAMAN SCHEPPS
Inside Seaman Schepps’ new storefront on Madison Avenue
Jeweler Seaman Schepps reopened its flagship storefront on the corner of 69th Street and Madison Avenue. “I couldn’t be happier to be a part of Madison Avenue’s resurgence and celebrate the energy and enthusiasm of the city at our new location, where we will unveil never-before-seen drawings by Schepps along with pieces from the family’s private collection and ephemera from the original store,” president Anthony Hopenhajm says. Inspired by Parisian salons, the bilevel store features warm, lively French-inspired interiors by designer Penny Drue Baird along with vintage pieces from the original Park Avenue store. 824 Madison Ave.
OTHERLAND
Otherland’s dreamy new digs
Buzzy candle brand Otherland recently opened the doors to its first physical shop on Broadway after finding major success as an online retailer. Designed by renowned interior designer Sasha Bikoff in collaboration with Abigail Cook Stone, the vibrant space is reminiscent of the 1980s art deco revival period. “The most rewarding part about designing this boutique for Otherland was taking the brand’s ethos and converting it into an interior,” Bikoff says. “I thought hard about transporting into the ‘otherland’ and how, for me, it looked like a dreamy, colorful yet ethereal place, which is why we have many iridescent accents throughout the space.” 454 West Broadway
MULBERRY
Mulberry’s Soho flagship
Mulberry’s new Soho flagship pays homage to the brand’s British heritage. The store features furnishings inspired by the natural textures of the English countryside and boasts sumptuous and tactile interiors in line with the store’s concept by Studio Toogood and artworks by British creatives. “We are delighted to open our new flagship store in New York, offering our full collection and preloved bags from the Mulberry Exchange,” says CEO Thierry Andretta. “This represents an exciting moment for Mulberry as we continue to expand our presence internationally.” 100 Wooster St.
JENNIFER FISHER
Jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher returns to her roots with a new brick-and-mortar in the heart of Soho. “Having started my brand just a few steps away from this location, I wanted it to feel intrinsically connected to its roots yet symbolic to the world of Jennifer Fisher in its design,” founder and CEO Fisher says. The 1,650-square-foot space was designed in close collaboration with Michelle Gerson of Michelle Gerson Interiors to channel a fusion of the city’s industrial edge and the minimalist aesthetic of L.A. 400 West Broadway

Head down to Tribeca to check out Greenwich St. Jewelers’ new flagship store, a warm, 1,550-square-foot space that’s an homage to the grit and glamour of the city. The contemporary space houses pieces by over 40 independent jewelry designers, the brand’s own collections and a full-service, in-house jewelry workshop. Designed by Maori Hughes of NYC-based architecture firm MAOarch, the shop is situated within the Obsidian House, the second-oldest cast-iron building, constructed in 1857, and features the space’s original exposed brick. “The facade and history inspired us to create a space that joyfully explores the intersection of history and modernity while keeping the jewelry and client experience at the forefront,” says co-owner Christina Gandia-Gambale. “Every element in the store has been obsessed over to invite our clients to linger, play and shop.” 93 Reade St.
UNSUBSCRIBED
Unsubscribed’s new Madison Avenue space
Slow-fashion brand Unsubscribed is expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint with the opening of a flagship on Madison Avenue. An uptown oasis, the luxe, lounge-inspired space offers 1,300 square feet for shoppers to disconnect at as they peruse the racks. “The Upper East Side has the perfect combination of a luxurious feel with an effortlessly chic vibe, making it the ideal spot for Unsubscribed’s consciously made, private-label products and partner brands,” says Jen Foyle, president and executive creative director of AE, Aerie and Unsubscribed. “As we expand our portfolio, we want to be in markets where our sophisticated and free-spirited, environmentally minded customer is seeking a unique and relaxed shopping experience.” 1190 Madison Ave.
