Beloved Florida-born all-day cafe Pura Vida Miami has officially expanded to NYC with the opening of a Nomad location, and we could not be more excited.
Located in the piazza at 1151 Broadway, Pura Vida Miami is the stuff of healthy, fast-casual dreams. Since launching the brand in 2012, founders Omer and Jennifer Horev have prioritized vibrant flavors and wellness, resulting in wholesome and flavorful meals that will keep you energized and nourished. The brand’s first expansion beyond Florida, the new space boasts 2,500 square feet full of equally health-conscious and delicious eats, ranging from superfood smoothies and breakfast to soups and sandwiches.
The opening has already caused quite a stir, with the fresh plates taking over social media. With the cafe’s gorgeous, airy interiors and welcoming 60-seat outdoor dining space, it’s not hard to see why. A little slice of Florida in the form of the floral facade and iconic blue umbrellas welcome customers, and upon entering, wood pergolas, lush foliage, organic textures and natural finishes instantly fade the city’s hustle and bustle away.
The extensive menu is full of whole ingredients, many of which are sourced from local vendors, such as Apollo Bagels and Elmhurst 1925. Free of seed oils and full of high-quality proteins, grains, fruits and vegetables, the menu truly has something for everyone, including many gluten-free, vegan and nut-free options. The all-day breakfast options include classics such as avocado toasts, omelets, overnight oats and bagel sandwiches. The sandwiches and wraps are packed with proteins and veggies, such as the ponzu tuna sandwich on toasted ciabatta and the crunchy veggie wrap with a side of green tahini. Other options include bowls, salads, empanadas, acai bowls and baked goods.
With such a warm welcome to NYC, we think the hype around Pura Vida Miami is here to stay, particularly as the brand expands with 10+ more planned outposts in the city by 2026. Both delivery and pick-up are available through the Pura Vida Miami app.
