Fashionistas, start your engines.
The 2022 Italian Grand Prix at Monza is just around the corner, and Ray-Ban teamed with home-team Ferrari on a stylish eyewear design that will turn heads faster than F1 racers Charles LeClerc and Carlos Sainz.
The limited edition Ray-Ban Wayfarer Carbon Fiber for Scuderia Ferrari is the eyewear brand's contribution to the Italian GP’s 75th anniversary celebration. Ray-Ban is itself an American-Italian company, and it’s only right that the drivers and fans head to the track looking their best for this occasion.
Made from ultra-light materials, this special pair of sunnies is designed to be as strong and sleek as the Formula 1 cars on the track.
The front of the shades are black, but inside the design, you’ll find Ferrari’s “giallo Modena” yellow on the elliptical rivets, rubber-grip nose pads and temple tips. The Scuderia Ferrari Racing Shield logo graces the temple plaque of the lenses, and the glasses come in a unique leather case finished with a carbon fiber texture, adding to the collector value of the limited edition release.
The Ray-Ban Wayfarer Carbon Fiber for Scuderia Ferrari are currently for sale on the Ray-Ban website, with a retail price set at $490.
LeClarc and Sainz head into the Italian Grand Prix with exquisite form this weekend, although Red Bull’s reigning champion Max Verstappen retains a heavy lead in the overall points for the season.
The race kicks off Sunday, Sept. 11, at 9 am ET, but celebrations in Monza are already well under way. Make sure you’re outfitted properly for “lights out” by snagging a pair of these celebratory shades rayban.com.
