Calling all fashion enthusiasts and human-rights activists, this new collection is made just for you. Combining environmentally friendly clothing with iconic looks, Sheltersuit and Re/Done have partnered up to create their newest collection.
For Sheltersuit’s latest debut collection, the brand has partnered with Re/Done, putting together four denim pieces from recycled material. The new collection is titled “People Helping People," and together, the brands took something that was old and used and transformed it into fashionable streetwear.
The collection, which was launched during Paris Fashion Week, was a part of founder and creative director Bas Timmer's, 21-piece collection that explores re-innovation, durability, reusability and freedom.

“The Sheltersuit Label and Re/Done collaboration is a fantastic example that stems from our drive to change the narrative of luxury fashion and to infuse it with purpose. This is what the Sheltersuit Label is all about. People Helping People,” expressed Timmer.
Prior to becoming the well-known brand it is today, the Sheltersuit Foundation was a non-profit organization, that started back in 2014. Its goal was to design products to protect the unsheltered, through recycling materials and reducing waste, as well as providing jobs for these individuals. Sharing similar values around people and the planet, Re/Done and Sheltersuit had first partnered in February of 2021 and launched their peer-to-peer resale platform, Re/Sell.
To continue to support the Sheltersuit Foundation, Re/Done donates all proceeds back to Sheltersuit to help distribute Shelterbags in the downtown Los Angeles community. When Sheltersuit began working on their label, Re/Done became the perfect partner for creating sustainable, innovative and recyclable fashion.
“Born from shared values surrounding upcycling, sustainability, and community, Sheltersuit x RE/DONE is an organic partnership with purpose” said Co-Founder and CEO of Re/Done, Sean Barron. "We are honored to be working with Bas on his debut collection, demonstrating how fashion can be consciously innovated to create beauty while also giving back to the planet and people within.”
Using Re/Done’s previous fashion styles, Sheltersuit has recreated Re/Done’s 70’s straight, 90’s jeans and the cropped trucker jacket, all made from recycled material to eliminate any waste. The clothing was also made with weather-resistant materials and the garments represent both the streets, as well as the unsheltered through the additional functional elements.
The four Sheltersuit and Re/Done pieces were presented in 2022’s Paris Fashion Week. The collection is set to be available for purchase this upcoming fall, through Re/Done's e-commerce store as well as their brick and mortar locations.
