As the NFT space continues to expand, many new and exciting collaborations are forming and this announcement is just that, an exciting milestone for both the art and crypto community. Miami-based Romero Britto has collaborated with DJ White Shadow on their first joint NFT collection, exclusively on the YellowHeart marketplace.
Romero is one of the most highly regarded international artists and uses his artistic talent to create a unique language of happiness, fun, love and hope. DJ White Shadow is a Grammy Award-winning producer, DJ and songwriter and behind some of the most prominent songs of our generation including some of Lady Gaga’s hits, Born This Way, Artpop and A Star is Born.
Together the pair has launched ten pieces of bold, colorful animated art. In addition to these pieces, DJ White Shadow is also selling a limited edition album which includes 10 long-form versions of the backtracking to each art piece, also exclusively sold on YellowHeart.
"I am very excited with this project with DJ White Shadow and YellowHeart because it blends multiple arts and technology,” said Britto. “I have always been fascinated by technology and how we interact with it. This collection of NFTs look jubilant and I can't wait to share it with all of you.”

Josh Katz, founder and CEO of YellowHeart explained that this collaboration came to fruition naturally when he first got introduced to Britto. “We discussed what an NFT with Romero could look like and then we began ideating over months and working on creative concepts for an icon like Romero to enter the NFT space. Simultaneously I was working with DJ White Shadow also conceptualizing on NFT music projects for him. We were speaking a lot and he was at the time working with Pitbull on a new record in Miami. As Romero’s project took shape and his works came to life through the addition of animation to his works, we had the idea for a soundtrack. I introduced Romero to Shadow to see if they vibed creatively, and they never looked backed,” said Katz.
The collection is officially viewable on October 21 and available for purchase on October 28. The collection ranges in price from $500 to $30,000.
YellowHeart has seen it all in terms of collaborators and purchasers, but Katz is expecting a big reaction on this release. “We are expecting serious NFT Art collectors and the high-end NFT collecting community to be very excited about owning these NFTs. They are unbelievable works of art and unlike anything Romero has ever done. Since this is also a first of its kind for Romero who is such an iconic artist, over time, these works will be super valuable,” he explained.
Dr. Lucas Vidal, global CEO of the BRITTO and Romero Britto Fine-Art brands said, “Britto is always innovative and curious to find ways outside of the canvas to display his happy and fun art - we had to be part of the NFTs world."
In addition to this exciting collection, a percentage of sales from art pieces titled, Tonight At The Beach and Nature In Harmony will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This collaboration is bringing together world-class artistry, music, crypto and charity to create a bigger picture.
