Salt Bae is Finally Opening His New York City Restaurant This Week

By Gary Duff | January 17, 2018 | Food & Drink

Believe it or not, our favorite viral sensation Salt Bae, aka Nusret Gökçer, is opening his first restaurant in New York City by the end of this week.

The meat mecca, situated at 60 West 53rd Street, seats 150 people and is set to open this Thursday.

Expect steak, veal, and lamb to be featured prominently on the menu, and for it be served chargrilled after its carved tableside. Dishes will also include favorites from Bae's 250-seat Miami restaurant, Nusr-Et, which, according to the Times, serves over a 1,000 meals a day.

Bae's NYC outpost is his second U.S. location, but the restaurateur has already expressed interest in opening a second Big Apple spot and has a London restaurant opening in the next few months. So be sure to steal our favorite salt sprinkler for a selfie before he heads overseas.
