On Thursday, May 23, 2019, Sephora and Manhattan celebrated the grand opening of the retailer's new Times Square location at 1535 Broadway with an exclusive opening preview party. Guests, including former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin and Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider, had the opportunity to see the new space before it opened to the public and shop the latest collections. Attendees were also treated to fun, New York City-inspired bites like gourmet hot dogs and pretzels and specialty cocktails from Pinch Food Design. The following morning, Sephora hosted the official opening of the store with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included a live performance by Batalá New York and the ultimate Times Square experience—a custom Sephora slide and ball pit.
