While vacationing in paradise, Taron Egerton received news of a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for the Rocketman soundtrack, in which he covered several of Elton John's biggest hits.

Egerton may have had his sights set on an Academy Award nomination for playing Elton John in the biopic Rocketman, but news of a Grammy nomination came as a shock to this A-lister.

He shared a list of the nominees to Instagram, and noted “I didn’t see that coming! Bloody hell!”

Although the news came unexpected, Egerton was already in the perfect setting for celebration – the exclusive Casa Del Campo Resort. Egerton and his girlfriend, director Emily Thomas, traveled to the Dominican Republic to celebrate his 30th birthday, where they enjoyed the view from their 5-bedroom, 20 Million Dollar Luxury Estate ($10,000 per night) villa.

Since the lavish oasis opened almost 50 years ago as the first resort in the Dominican Republic, Casa Del Campo Resort & Villas has been a favorite luxury destination for selective travelers and celebrities around the world who appreciate the private gated community for its safe and exclusive setting.

Known as the best golf resort, the 3 Pete Dye golf courses include Teeth of the Dog, which is the #1 ranked course in the Caribbean. The activities are all world class — 7 outstanding restaurants including the stunning new Minitas Beach Club, a Marina, Equestrian Center featuring Polo, Shooting Course, great shopping and 3 private pristine white sand beaches.

Coveted by Hollywood’s elite as the go-to vacation destination for secret hideaways, it comes as no surprise that Egerton and his girlfriend, director Emily Thomas joined the list of A-listers who have enjoyed this tropical escape – including J. Lo, Beyonce & Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, the Kardashians, Kanye West, Pitbull and Pharrell Williams.

Egerton stated on Instagram, “I cannot think of a better way to spend the first week of my 31st year than in this gorgeous place. Thank you @casadecampodr and @godomrep for an incredible week. Stunning scenery and incredible people. Particular thanks to the incredible staff at this beautiful villa for making it a magical experience. I have never experienced luxury like it. The perfect way to celebrate my 30th birthday. Thank you!”

The Dominican Republic is the most visited destination in the Caribbean and home to the best golf courses in the world. December 20th and 21st kicks off the sold-out Paradise Music Festival featuring headlining performances from Marshmello, Bad Bunny, Maluma, Martin Garrix, Tyga, Alesso, Guy Gerber, and Steve Aoki.
