Vape cartridges, or, more specifically, THC carts are an increasingly popular way to consume cannabis due to their convenience, ease of use, and potency. Although delta 9 carts have been street-popular and available in marijuana dispensary for almost two decades, the passing of the Farm Bill in 2018 created a whole new buzzy horizon: THC carts made from hemp.

The emergence of various cannabinoids such as delta 8, delta 10, and HHC has significantly impacted the market for hemp-based carts.

The Cannabinoid Revolution

We already know that cannabis contains many compounds, many of which were originally discovered in the 20th century, so why are they just now emerging in popularity? Well, it’s pretty simple. After the hemp market boom following the Farm Bill, the demand for hemp products have undeniably skyrocketed.

Some are bored of traditional cannabis products and yearn to try something new, while others in states without recreational marijuana laws don’t have access to safe and legal cannabis outside of hemp.

These new cannabinoids, including delta 8, hemp-derived delta 9, and HHC, have risen to the occasion and brought their unique and sought-after effects to the table. The result? An ever-changing cannabis landscape revolutionized by the world of hemp with market demand set to grow significantly in the coming years.

The Emergence of Various Cannabinoids: Why Now?

Hemp-based products, especially THC carts, have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their perceived psychoactive and physical benefits. This popularity has led to an increased interest in other cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, which has resulted in the emergence of more new cannabinoids, cannabinoid blends, and implemented uses of these compounds.

But other than people wanting more from their cannabis, this cannabinoid renaissance is also due to a couple of other things.

Recent Changes in Cannabis Legalization

As previously mentioned, hemp products became legal under the Farm Bill. Also known as the Agriculture Improvement Act, this 2018 legislation created a difference between hemp and marijuana, the latter of which remains illegal at the federal level.

Hemp, however, or cannabis containing no more than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis, is legal, and so are all the relaxing and beneficial compounds it births. The relaxation of cannabis laws at the federal level and in most states has led to increased research and development of cannabis-based products.

The (Re)Discovery of New Cannabinoids

Although many of these compounds were discovered in the last century, many by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam who is known as “The Father of Cannabis,” some cannabinoids weren’t really given all that much attention.

But with legal hemp products taking over the cannabis market, the scientific community has been forced to turn their heads to all these compounds, discovering once again their many health benefits.

The ongoing study of the cannabis plant has also led to the discovery of new cannabinoids that were previously unknown, such as THCP, which was discovered in 2019 by a team of Italian researchers and has just recently become the most potent cannabinoid known to man.

A Quick Comparison of Cannabinoid Effects

You’ve already heard of these compounds, but let’s dive a little deeper and compare all their effects. Delta-8, Delta-9, Delta-10, HHC, and THCP are cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, each with their own unique effects and potential benefits. Delta-9 THC is the most prevalent and well-known cannabinoid, responsible for producing the strong psychoactive "high" associated with cannabis use. Its effects can be both cerebral and physical, inducing feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and heightened sensory perception.

Delta-8 THC, on the other hand, is less potent and offers a more mild, clear-headed experience. Users often report reduced anxiety and a smoother high compared to Delta-9, making it an appealing option for those seeking therapeutic benefits without overwhelming psychoactive effects.

Get Focused with Delta 10 THC

Delta-10 THC, although the least studied of the three, is known for its subtle and uplifting effects. Users typically experience increased focus and a gentle euphoria, suggesting potential applications for mood enhancement and creative stimulation. HHC, or hexahydrocannabinol, is another cannabinoid that is synthesized from the natural degradation of THC. It is less potent than Delta-9 THC but has been reported to produce a more clear-headed and functional high.

HHC is still relatively new and understudied, but early reports indicate that it may possess unique therapeutic benefits, such as pain relief and appetite stimulation. THCP, or tetrahydrocannabiphorol, is a recently discovered cannabinoid that has been found to have a higher affinity for the CB1 receptor than Delta-9 THC, making it potentially more potent.

Although research on THCP is limited, preliminary findings suggest that it may have strong psychoactive effects, along with potential therapeutic benefits in areas such as pain management and neuroprotection. In summary, each of these cannabinoids offers a different profile of effects and potential benefits, allowing users to tailor their cannabis experience according to their individual needs and preferences.

Top Pick from Chill Clouds: Pineapple Express Delta 8

With all these new developments in the cannabis world, it can get a little hard to find a brand you can trust. Sure, some companies are actually doing it for their love for the industry, but others just see this hemp market boom as an opportunity to make a quick buck.

Chill Clouds is a leading brand in the THC cart market—they’re one of the companies that entered the business out of sheer belief in the power of cannabinoids. And their Pineapple Express delta 8 cart is our top personal pick due to its premium quality, unique effects, and natural terpenes. Oh yeah, and it tastes amazing.

Pineapple Express, like the movie?

Actually, the Rogen-Franco movie was named after this strain—a strain so groovy it got made into a movie.

Pineapple Express is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain made by crossing Trainwreck and Hawaiian. With a fruity, tropical flavor profile, this strain will blow you right to the shores of Waikiki Beach.

Pineapple Express is known for its uplifting and energizing effects, making it an excellent choice for daytime use. Delta 8, the primary cannabinoid in this cart, has a similar structure to delta 9 THC, but with a lessened, more manageable potency sure to relax the F out of U.

But why are we suggesting Chill Clouds and not some other company? Let us explain.

Premium Quality and Third-Party Lab Tested

Chill Clouds is known for their high-quality THC carts, and Pineapple Express is no exception. This cart is third-party lab tested to ensure its purity, potency, and consistency, giving users peace of mind that they are consuming a safe and reliable product.

Combination of Delta 8 Distillate and Natural Terpenes

Their Pineapple Express cart is made from delta 8 distillate, which is known for its relaxing and uplifting effects. This THC distillate is then combined with natural terpenes, which give the cart its unique fruity and tropical flavor profile. The natural terpenes also provide additional benefits, such as stress relief and relaxation.

Promotion Code for Discount

To make things even better, Chill Clouds is currently offering a promotion code for a discount on all of their products!. Use the code NEU45 to get 45% off your entire first purchase and see what they’re all about. But hurry, it’s only valid for a limited time and first time customers. One time use only.

Are These Recently Emerged Cannabinoids Legal?

The short answer is yes. The long answer is that it’s a little tricky. The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and hemp-derived products, including CBD. However, the bill did not explicitly address delta 8, delta 10, or HHC.

The DEA has issued an Interim Final Rule stating that all synthetically derived tetrahydrocannabinols (THCs) are Schedule I controlled substances, which includes delta 8 and delta 10 because of how they’re extracted from hemp. HHC is not specifically mentioned in the rule, leaving its legal status somewhat ambiguous.

Even though delta 8 and delta 10 are considered “synthetically derived” they are not actually synthetic, leaving them in a sort of legal gray area. A technical loophole in the Farm Bill has left these compounds legal, but that wasn’t the intention of the government upon legalizing hemp.

State Regulations

Although some states agree with the federal consensus and allow delta 8 to be sold, purchased, and used, some states have explicitly banned these compounds, while others have not addressed their legality. It is important to check the laws in your state before purchasing or using delta 8, delta 10, or HHC products.

So far, here’s where we know delta 8, delta 10, and HHC are not legal and where it is likely (but not explicitly) illegal:

Delta 8 is illegal in: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Washington

Delta 10 is illegal in: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Rhode Island, and Utah

HHC is illegal in: Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Utah, and Washington

THC Carts: The Bottom Line

The emergence of various cannabinoids has significantly impacted the market for THC carts. Delta 8, delta 10, and HHC are not new cannabinoids, but they have recently seen a reemergence in popularity following the passing of the Farm Bill. They not only offer a new and exciting way to use cannabis, but also unique effects and benefits compared to traditional THC.

If you’re looking for a premium quality THC cart, we highly recommend anything from Chill Clouds, but especially their Pineapple Express delta 8 cart. Regardless of where you buy your hemp products, always be sure to check for lab reports and other signs of responsible manufacturing.

Hemp products are an excellent way to get natural pain relief, reduced anxiety, better sleep, relaxation, and much more. But before trying every compound under the sun, be sure to understand their effects and benefits in order to harness a positive cannabinoid experience.

With an already impressive lineup and more undeniably to come, both Chill Clouds and the hemp market itself are set to revolutionize the cannabis industry in the near future, so don’t stay behind—try THC carts today and watch them change your life for the better!
