In a climate of endless fitness studios, The Ness brings an intimate, private, elevated place to sweat. Close and connected, The Ness is invite only, which has already attracted a unique community filled with models, fashion editors and hedge fund CEOs.
In a city filled with millions of people, New Yorkers are craving a momentary stillness. Instead of a workout as stressful as a packed subway car, The Ness' intimate workouts classes of only 10 people allow you to receive personal training attention while engaging your body and challenging your mind.
"In a city saturated with, well, everything... what makes The Ness different is it isn’t actually saturated. When you step into our home, you enter into an oasis. It’s a tight-knit community where you can cut through all the noise and drop into a good, hard workout with good people. There is a certain kind of magic that you feel when you walk in," says founder Colette Dong.
The space offers Bounce—a sweaty, beat-based, low impact trampoline workout with incredible benefits, including increasing lymph flow by up to 15x and sculpt, a dynamic beat-based full body workout to leave you strong, lean, balanced and focused. There's also personal training, appreciated by high profile models and Tribeca mommies alike.
On being invite-only, Dria Murphy, co-founder told us: "We felt strongly about creating an invite-only space so we could cultivate the right community. Everyone has been referred by an existing client, making it a place that really feels like home. It also gives us a personal touchpoint prior to people walking through the door."
The small class sizes are the perfect reason to give it a try. "An intimate class setting allows us to really get to know our clients, see movement patterns on everyone, ensure their safety and connect with what challenges they need at that moment," says co-founder Aly Gimapolo. "We recognize that clients are carving out time in their day to train their bodies and minds with us; we want them to know that they are seen, they are cared for and we are so honored that they’ve chosen to make us a part of their routine."
The Ness will also be hitting the Hamptons for the first time with pop-up classes at Gurney's Montauk, The Surf Lodge Sanctuary, Gurney's Star Island and more. Personal Training for private clients throughout the Hamptons will also be available.
