The Tony Awards may be about celebrating the best of Broadway for the season, but stars from across the world of entertainment showed up to join the festivities— including to make waves on the red carpet.
The main event took place at New York City’s famed Radio City Music Hall. Following up a homerun year that has included winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, Ariana DeBose hosted the ceremony, which included honoring Angela Lansbury with a lifetime achievement award.
Before theater’s best took began racking up Tonys, a competition of fashion went down on the red carpet and stars like Jennifer Hudson and Vanessa Hudgens wowed. See more of the best looks below.
We had to start with the newly-minted EGOT winner! As a co-producer of A Strange Loop, which won for best musical, the award-winning singer and actress took home a Tony last night— but not before wowing on the red carpet in a glamorous black gown.
Our future on-screen Elphaba was ethereal in a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture 2022 masterpiece and elegant jewelry from Tiffany & Co.
Utkarsh Ambudkar ditched a classic black-and-white tux for a more playful, detailed suit from designer menswear brand Bode.
The acclaimed playwright stunned in a soft, but structured shamrock green gown by Sergio Hudson and completed the look with a Judith Leiber clutch and Lorraine West jewelry.
The actress donned a custom Giorgio Armani Privé low cut gown with a sparkling mesh skirt. She finished the look with a delicate Tiffany & Co. choker.
Vanessa Hudgens was out of this world in a full Schiaparelli ensemble, complete with a sculpted black gown and gold statement jewelry pieces.
Ahead of their spectacular The Music Man performance, co-stars HUgh Jackman and Sutton Foster were a polished pair on the Tony Awards red carpet.
